POLE CLUB IS BACK FOR 2022 + 2023!
Welcome to Goldsmiths Pole Dance Fitness Club! We're so excited to be back for 2022/2023. Pole is for everyone regardless of gender, size, fitness level (your strength, flexibility and coordination will increase over time!). We welcome everyone from absolute beginners and more experienced pole dancers!
Classes will happen every Monday evening during summer term time, apart from bank holiday Monday on May 29th, and will run until 19th June, which is the last week of term. Timings will be from 6pm-7pm for level 1&2 (beginner), and 7pm-8pm for level 1 (beginner) and level 3 (intermediate). All levels pole choreography will be from 8-9pm. All classes will be taught by two instructors to ensure every experience level is catered for (apart from choreography, which will have one).
All students wishing to join the club will need to purchase a membership for £30. This lasts from September 2022 to June 2023! This will get you access to our socials, reduced class fees, some free classes, our group chat and community, and any workshops and events we run!
Then, after purchasing a membership, students will need to purchase a ticket for each individual session to attend classes. These will be £9 per session. In London pole is usually £18+ for one session!
What to wear/bring?
You need to wear shorts and sports bra or top to allow enough skin to grip to the pole. Our skin is what keeps us in the air! Leggings won't allow much grip, so try to wear shorts.
Bring a towel or microfibre cloth to occassionally wipe the pole, and water bottle. DO NOT moisturise 24 hours before pole sessions! You can bring your own pole grip/chalk if you wish.
For choreography, you can wear pole heels or be barefoot/in socks. Highly advised to cover your kees either with kneepads or long socks or leggings.
